Sergey Viktorovych Bocharov, 57, in front of what is left of his garage, after an artillery shell hit it on 23/5/17 that was fired from pro-Russian separatists positions.
Another one landed in his garden, consequently both shells also caused considerable damage to his house. Fortunately, he and his wife were out at the time.
He has been building his house for 17 years and refuses to leave it for a safer area -
'you make it all with your hands, we have lived here all our lives where would we go'.
He tries to provide support to the few in the area that have also stayed in their homes since the start of the war.
One of his close friends who also remained was killed due to the conflict.
