The Karen-001.jpg

Saw Kwe and his daughter in the Lep Per Her IDP camp, situated on the Burmese side of the Moei River.

Two years ago he was blinded when a friend stepped on a landmine next to him (his friend was killed).

Should the hostilities come to an end and people return home, it is feared that there would be a significant increase in landmine victims due to the large number of unmapped mines that have been laid.
